Funeral Fund Created For Fremont Native Killed In Crash
Erik Woodward was born in Fremont and grew up in Pleasanton. He worked at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards in Livermore before moving.

PLEASANTON, CA — Friends of a former Pleasanton resident who was killed when he was struck by a car in Napa are raising money to help support his family and cover the costs of his funeral services. Erik Woodward, 25, was walking on the shoulder of Highway 29 near the Napa Premium Outlets shopping center when he was hit by a 2001 GMC on April 13, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Woodward was born in Fremont and grew up in Pleasanton. He worked at The Restaurant at Wente Vineyards in Livermore until he moved to Napa.
A GoFundMe page created on April 17 has garnered almost $10,000 since it was launched. Click here to donate. A memorial service and reception will be held this week in Fremont and Pleasanton. Read more here.
