Drivers will exit the freeway, drive through town, and get back on the freeway further along.

FREMONT, CA — Northbound Interstate Highway 680 in Fremont will be shut down for construction during overnight hours for three nights starting Tuesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The closure will take place from 11:45 p.m. to 5 a.m. each of the three nights for road construction, with a detour set up at the Sheridan Road off-ramp, CHP officials said.
