I-680 Closures Planned In Fremont
Traffic will be impacted Thursday through Saturday.

FREMONT, CA — Interstate Highway 680 will be closed overnight to accommodate construction of an overpass in Fremont on Thursday and Friday, according to Caltrans officials.
The northbound lanes will be closed at the Sheridan Road off-ramp from 12:01 a.m. to 5 a.m. Thursday and the southbound lanes will be closed at the Andrade Road off-ramp from 11 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Saturday.
During the northbound lane closure, traffic will be re-routed to the Sheridan Road off-ramp to Mission Road to northbound Highway 680.

During the southbound closure, traffic will be re-routed to the Andrade Road off-ramp to Mission Road to southbound Highway 680.
The closures will allow construction crews to build falsework -- temporary support frames -- for the new Sheridan Bridge.

The overpass is part of Caltrans' $240 million Highway 680 Corridor Improvement Project, which includes express lanes from Fremont to Dublin and is expected to be complete by the end of 2020, Caltrans spokesman Marcus Wagner said.
