Keeping Fit Over 55
New fitness classes open up throughout Fremont and Union City for local seniors, aged 55 and above.

As we leave 2015 behind approach 2016, the number one goal that many folks set for themselves for their New Year’s resolution is of course, health.
January and February are big enrollment months for gyms as their memberships rise due to people’s emotional (and often physical and medical) need to fulfill their resolution to lose weight, get stronger and more flexible, or simply to be healthier.
One challenge however, is for folks 55 years and above (“seniors”) to find classes suited specifically for them.
Michael Quebec, a Tri-City native and fitness instructor, has taken it upon himself to open up classes geared specifically for seniors.
Currently, he has taught Senior Aerobics and Senior Strength classes for the City of Newark since 2007. Now, he will be opening up new senior’s fitness classes for Fremont Adult and Continuing Education, The Fremont Senior Center, as well as continuing to expand a recently started (and popular) senior’s Low Impact Aerobics Class at the Mark Green Union City Sports Center in Union City.
If you or someone you know is 55 years or older, or if you are not, but would like to participate in a moderate, yet fun and energetic fitness class without large fees or long contracts, visit the links below. Class registration links below are for those classes that have online registration up already. For classes in Union City or at The Fremont Senior Center, contact Mike directly at (510)-240-2732.
