Thousands Without Power In Fremont, Newark
Twin outages in the cities should be fixed soon.
FREMONT, CA — Close to 5,000 PG&E customers are without power in Fremont and Union City right now, the utility reports. The hope is that all power will be restored between 9:45 and 10 p.m.
A preliminary cause by PG&E is simply that the hot weather is responsible.

An earlier outage affecting 1,181 customers was fixed hours sooner than expected.
