FREMONT, CA — In between the storms that have drenched the Bay Area this month, we've had respites from the weather, allowing us to get outside for some exercise.

Doris Kao tells Patch, "I took this candid photo of my brother and his girlfriend a couple days ago at Don Edwards San Francisco Bay (National Wildlife Refuge) in Fremont - enjoying an intimate stroll along one of the bridges, taking in the scenery on a calm and crisp December day.

"I have lived in Fremont for several years and didn't know this place existed in our backyard. I hope that sharing this on Patch will inspire others to keep exploring our city."
