
FREMONT, CA — Fremont Police have arrested 25-year-old Uriah Harris of San Francisco for alleged auto burglary, identify theft, and unauthorized use of credit cards. They got an assist from East Bay Regional Parks Police Department patrol units and their helicopter. Harris was in the Berkeley Hills when he was taken into custody.
Fremont Police officers responded to multiple auto burglaries at the Pacific Commons Shopping plaza and surrounding businesses on Jan. 19. Officers recovered video surveillance from multiple businesses which led to the identification of a suspect vehicle from License Plate Reader cameras.

Detectives also got surveillance video of the suspect using stolen credit cards from the burglaries from various businesses.
Once police identified Harris as their suspect, they obtained an arrest warrant and began searching for him.

FPD Detectives observed Harris in the Berkeley Hills in the same suspect vehicle on Feb. 1. In addition to the Fremont charges, Harris was also arrested for committing a felony while out on bail from an auto burglary arrest by US Park Rangers at Golden Gate National Park.
