Man Robbed At Gunpoint Of Cell Phone: Cops

Fremont Police tracked the phone into Union City, and then it stopped pinging.

FREMONT, CA — A man walking down the street was robbed at gunpoint by three men, Fremont Police report. There have been no arrests.

The crime happened at 7:50 p.m. Sunday on the north side of Lake Arrowhead Avenue near Clear Lake Street.

According to a police report, three suspects drove into the area, robbed the victim of a cell phone, and then left the area. "Officers and dispatchers were able to ping the phone to an area in Union City with a 1 1/2 mile radius and then there was no further activation." The suspects were in an older model dark Ford Expedition.

Here are the descriptions of the suspects:

  1. Black male adult, 20's 5'6" - 5'8", stout build, wearing black hoody, black face mask, black pants, carrying a small handgun
  2. Black male adult, same height or shorter than the first suspect, slim build, unknown clothing
  3. Unknown race, taller than other suspects, unknown clothing
