Man Runs Through Traffic at Fremont & Mowry Attempting to Open Occupied Cars

BREAKING: The suspect was arrested for allegedly being under the influence, police said.

FREMONT, CA – A man was arrested Sunday night in Fremont after he allegedly ran through a busy intersection and tried to enter occupied vehicles, police said.

At about 10:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to the area of Fremont Boulevard and Mowry Avenue on a report of a man running through the intersection. The suspect allegedly approached several occupied vehicles and attempted to open the doors, police said.

According to police, the suspect did not threaten anyone or attempt to steal the vehicles, but he was talking to himself.

At the scene, officers made contact with the 35-year-old man and arrested him on suspicion of being under the influence.
