MOD Pizza Opens in Fremont

FREMONT - Looking for a new place to try pizza? MOD opened today in the Fremont Hub.

MOD Pizza is based in Seattle. It was founded in 2008 by Scott and Ally Svenson, whose love of Italian street-style pizza melded with a desire for authentic, affordable and fast dining options for their busy family.

Tuesday’s Grand Opening included a ribbon cutting ceremony, free pizza or hand-tossed salad for the first 52 people in line and a opportunity to win free pizza for a year.

In addition, all proceeds Tuesday will be donated to SAVE, an organization that provides shelter and support to help families end the cycle of abuse.
