Motorcyclist Killed In Fremont Crash: Police

FREMONT, CA — A motorcyclist died Monday afternoon following a crash between them and a pickup truck in Fremont, police said.

Details about what led up to the crash were not immediately available. But police say it happened at the intersection of Cushing Parkway and Northport Loop East just after 3 p.m.

There, officers found the motorcyclist with major injuries. They were taken to a local hospital for treatment, according to the Fremont Police Department.

The motorcyclist, however, died about an hour later at the hospital, police said. Their identity was not publicly revealed as the coroner's division works to notify the motorcyclist's relatives about the fatal crash.

The driver of the pickup truck was not injured. They remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.

This was the second fatal crash in Fremont this year. A cyclist died earlier this monthwhen he collided with a semi-truck turning left into a parking lot.
