Mudslides, Flooding Close Niles Canyon Road
The road has been closed multiple times this month because of storm damage.
FREMONT, CA — State Highway 84, known locally as Niles Canyon Road, is closed in both directions between Old Canyon Road and Pleasanton Sunol Road.
The Fremont Police Department reports that there have been landslides, mudslides, and flooding across the road.
Police further report that the road will be closed indefinitely with Caltrans reassessing the situation in the days ahead.
