Naked Man Attacks Police Officers, Trashes Fremont Hotel Room
Police say two officers were treated at a hospital following the incident.

FREMONT, CA — Two Fremont police officers were hospitalized Sunday afternoon after a disturbance at a hotel led to a violent confrontation between a man and officers.
Around 1:10 p.m., officers responded to a hotel in the 5400 block of Mowry Avenue for a report of a guest causing a disturbance and damaging hotel property, police said.
At the scene, officers contacted the guest, a 36-year-old Newark man. At that point, the man began resisting and fighting with officers. Officers attempted to use a Taser on the suspect, however, the Taser appeared ineffective and the officers called for backup.

When the additional officers arrived, they found the man naked and bloody and fighting with the officers. Because the man exhibited great strength, officers believed he may have been under the influence. The man
continued fighting with the officers and bit them.
The additional officers were able to handcuff the man and placed him in a restraint device as well as a spit guard, before taking him to the hospital. He was arrested on suspicion of felony battery on a police officer,
felony vandalism and obstructing an executive order, according to police.
