Goldfish Crackers Recalled In CA Over Salmonella Fears
First it was Ritz crackers, now it's Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers. The products have both been recalled due to salmonella fears.

CALIFORNIA — Some California moms and their little ones are not going to be happy with this news - several varieties of Pepperidge Farm Goldfish crackers are being recalled due to salmonella fears.
Pepperidge Farm announced it was notified by one of its ingredient suppliers that whey powder in a seasoning that is applied to four varieties of crackers was recalled by the manufacturer due to the potential presence of salmonella.
"Pepperidge Farm initiated an investigation and, out of an abundance of caution, is voluntarily recalling four varieties of Goldfish crackers," the company said in a recall notice.

The recall comes on the heels of a major recall by Ritz crackers for the same reason.

Pepperidge Farm says that no illnesses have been reported as a result of the potential contamination.
The following four varieties with specific codes are included in this recall:
- Flavor Blasted Xtra Cheddar
- Flavor Blasted Sour Cream & Onion
- Goldfish Baked with Whole Grain Xtra Cheddar
- Goldfish Mix Xtra Cheddar + Pretzel

"Consumers who have purchased these products should not eat them. Recalled product should be discarded or may be returned to the place of purchase for a full refund," the recall notice said.
