NFL Pro From Irvington High Shows His Fremont Spirit

Robert Turbin, who now plays football for the Seattle Seahawks, was guest of honor at a recent basketball showdown between his alma mater and Kennedy High.

 

Robert Turbin was on the track, basketball and football teams before he graduated Irvington High in 2007.

From there his sports career has taken him to the National Football League where he just finished his rookie year as a tailback for the Seattle Seahawks.

Last Wednesday night Turbin returned to his alma mater as guest of honor during the half time ceremony at a varsity basketball game. 

His "Number 6" Irvington football jersey was framed and will be hung in the gym as a remembrance of his athletic roots.

The ceremony took place during a showdown between Irvington and rival Kennedy High -- a hoop contest that Irvington won by a single point.
