Niles Canyon Road Closed By Flooding

The police department suggested alternate routes.

FREMONT, CA — Niles Canyon Road, state route 84, is closed between Fremont and Pleasanton because of flooding, according to an alert sent by the Fremont Police Department.

Alternate routes are I-680 to N. Mission Boulevard or I-580 to 238.

An estimate of when it will reopen is not available.

Niles Canyon Road was closed for several days in January because of flooding, mudslides and rockfall during previous atmospheric river storms.
