Niles Canyon Road Reopens

FREMONT, CA — Niles Canyon Road, state highway 84, has just reopened,Fremont Police report.

Traffic on other roads is reported to be heavy as driver are seeking alternate routes.

Fremont Police say in a written statement, "We advise that motorists proceed with caution and drive slowly. We tend to have calls for falling rocks in the days following a storm due to the moisture in the ground."
