FREMONT, CA — As the Ohlone Community College District begins a search for its next college president, two forums — open to the public — are planned Monday for the community to give input and learn more about the search process, official said.

The forums will be at the Fremont campus at 43600 Mission Blvd. in Building 19, Conference Room #B from 11:10 a.m. to 12 p.m. and from 12:10 pm. to 1 p.m.

Gari Browning, the community college district’s president/superintendent, announced in October that she will retire at the end of the 2019/20 academic year.

Browning has served the college for nearly 12 years and will resign after helping to build out Ohlone’s 2020-25 Strategic Plan, celebrating the opening of the College’s new Academic Core buildings set to open in the spring of 2020 and leading the College to a successful accreditation reaffirmation, school officials said.

Anyone with questions regarding the community forums can contact Shelby Foster sfoster@ohlone.edu or at 510-659-6200.
