Person Shot In Fremont, 2 Suspects Flee City

Police say the victim is being treated at a hospital and is expected to survive.

FREMONT, CA — A person was shot Wednesday afternoon in Fremont, police said.

The shooting was reported at 2:06 p.m. and happened on Locke Court, which is near Paseo Padre Parkway, police spokeswoman Yanneth Contrada said.

The victim suffered one bullet wound, which is not considered life-threatening.

Contrada said two suspects are outstanding, but police believe they have left the city. Police did not have any details on the suspects.

The shooting appears to be an isolated incident, Contrada said.
