Senior Scam Stopper Seminar Planned In Fremont

Find out the latest scams targeting seniors.

FREMONT, CA — Assemblymember Alex Lee and State Senator Bob Wieckowski will hold a Senior Scam Stopper Seminar in Fremont on April 11. You may attend virtually, via Zoom, or in-person.

The seminar will teach seniors and their family members about the latest scams targeting senior citizens. Topics include:

  • Department of Financial Protection and Innovation
  • California Department of Insurance
  • Contractors State License Board (CSLB)

According to organizers, Senior Scam Stopper seminars have been offered throughout the state since 1999 in cooperation with legislators, state and local agencies, law enforcement, district attorneys, and community-based organizations. They provide information about construction-related scams and broader topics, including identity theft, auto repair, Medicare, foreign lotteries, and mail fraud.
