Serial Arsonist Blamed For 15 Fremont Fires

The suspect has not been identified, and police and fire investigators are asking the public for help. (Breaking fire news)

FREMONT, CA — Fremont Fire and Police are seeking the identity of the arsonist responsible for 15 small fires in the Warm Springs District since mid July.

The fires have all been reported between Hackamore Lane and Mayten Way.

Both police and fire have dedicated extra personnel to solving these crimes before they escalate. So far, they've been limited to garbage, small bushes, dumpsters and trees.

According to the police department, "Almost all of the fires have been set on weekends from Saturday evening into Sunday morning and Sunday evening into Monday morning. Ten of the fires have been set between the hours of 12:00 a.m. - 5:00 a.m."

The public is asked to please dial 9-1-1 immediately if you see suspicious person(s) or suspicious activity in the area.

No suspects have been identified.
