I-680 Haz-Mat Cleanup Continues
A crash involving big rigs on I-680 has backed up traffic since before 2 a.m. An earlier all-clear was premature.

FREMONT, CA — A sig-alert for northbound I-680 was canceled at 3:36 p.m. after it was announced that all lanes were open following a day-long haz-mat cleanup. But...not so fast.
The CHP log noted at 4:46 p.m. that all southbound lanes still needed a few hours of cleanup.
