I-880 Crash Snarls Morning Traffic

FREMONT, CA — The California Highway Patrol has canceled a sig-alert for northbound Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont at Auto Mall Parkway.

Initially, an injury accident was blocking the northbound lanes.

The crash was reported around 5:20 a.m. All lanes were blocked until 6:40, when the far right lane opened.

At 7:04, the sig-alert was canceled and all lanes were open. However, traffic is backed up almost to the Tesla plant by the time the crash was cleared.
