South Mission Boulevard Shut Down At I-880 Due To Crash, Fuel Spill

Motorists should expect delays, the California highway Patrol said.

FREMONT, CA — The California Highway Patrol responded to a traffic collision with injuries and a fuel spill reported on southbound Mission Boulevard entering southbound Interstate Highway 880 in Fremont on Tuesday morning.

Officers first got notice of the crash shortly after 6 a.m. Tuesday, noting that the right and center lanes on southbound Mission Boulevard were blocked.

The CHP advised motorists to expect delays and to use alternate routes to avoid the area. Authorities gave no estimated time for when the roadway will reopen.
