Stroll & Roll Through Niles Canyon: Photos Of The Day

Highway 84 was reserved for bicyclists and pedestrians the first Sunday in May.

FREMONT, CA — Niles Canyon Road will be closed this weekend for bridge work. It was also closed to motor vehicles the first Sunday of May for Stroll & Roll, when pedestrians and bike riders ruled the road.

Ethan Bernstein sent these photos to Patch with the message, "Both riders, Ethan and Pat Bernstein are members of the Deaf Community which is large in Fremont due to the location of the California School for the Deaf serving students in Northern California. Both are cyclist enthusiasts and strong supporters of the concept of creating a Class 1 trail through the canyon as many members of their community often ride through the canyon and are concerned for their safety as well as all other riders."

Thank you for sharing your thoughts and photos with Patch, Ethan.
