Summer Middle School Speech and Debate Camps

Camps are weekly, Monday through Friday, 9:00am-12:00pm or/and 1:00pm- 4:00pm:

July 5-July 8, 2016
July 11-July 15, 2016
July 18-July 22, 2016
July 25-July 29, 2016

August 1-August 5, 2016

August 8-August 12, 2016

In morning, 9:00am-12:00pm part of the camp students will be introduced to one of high school debate format as: Lincoln - Douglas, Public Forum or Congressional debate. In this camp students will learn skill such as public speaking, cross examination, research. and critical thinking in order to construct a set of arguments and defend their position.

In afternoon session. 1:00pm- 4:00pm students will be introduced to various speech events focusing on presentation skills.

Summer Session Debate Camps are strongly recommended for 6-8th grade students who are planning on joining their school’s speech and debate team or who are interested in being a part of Young Genius Competitive Speech and Debate Team,
