[Fremont, CA 9/30/15] – The Fremont/Newark YMCA is pleased to recognize Rialyn Cortez as our Youth of Character award recipent and Donna Castaldo as our Adult Volunteer of the Year.
Rialyn and Donna have contributed to the Y’s mission throughout this past year and truly stood out among the rest. Along with being an officer for our Youth & Government Teen Leadership Program, Rialyn volunteered over 200 hours this summer at our day camp. With her positive attitude and smiling face, she is an incredible role model to the younger youth of the Y.
Donna has been a member of our Y for the past 6 years. She is always the first to lend a hand to whoever needs it. Another longtime Y member summed up Donna perfectly by telling us,” if she’s got it, you’ve got it.” Donna plans many events for the members at the Y and never forgets a birthday! We are honored to have her as a part of our Y.
