Tri-City Animal Shelter Offers Free Adoptions All August
The organization said it's waiving adoption and microchip fees this month to help empty kennels.
FREMONT, CA — Looking for a new furry best friend? The Tri-City is making that process seamless and affordable by waiving its adoption and microchip fees through August.
The waived fees come as part of an annual nationwide campaign known as "Clear the Shelters."
The event runs from Aug. 1 through Aug. 31, and is dedicated to helping clear kennels at shelters while finding several furry friends loving homes.

There are several animals up for adoption, including Lucky, a one-year-old Labrador retriever, and Violet, a black domestic shorthair cat.
"Adoption is a meaningful way to change a life, and our team is here to support you every step of the way as you find the right pet for your home," according to the Tri-City Animal Shelter.

Vaccinations, flea treatment, deworming and any urgently needed medical care are included in the adoption, according to the shelter.
People looking to adopt must be 18 years or older with a valid ID.
