Alameda County Vector Control Services for Fremont Residents

Alameda County Vector Control Services District (ACVCSD), a division of the Alameda County Department of Environmental Health, provides vector related services to Fremont residents. According to California Health and Safety Code Section 116108 “Vector" means any animal capable of transmitting the causative agent of human disease or capable of producing human discomfort or injury, including, but not limited to, mosquitoes, flies, other insects, ticks, mites, and rats.

The prodigious amount of rainfall our area received last winter contributed to a significant amount of vectors and nuisances so far this year. It is always a good time to check the integrity of the exterior of your home, to make sure there are no openings for rodents, wildlife, or other small creatures to gain access. Pest-proofing inspections are a free service that we offer and a little preventive maintenance will go a long way towards peace of mind. Generally, we provide pest identification service, evaluate vector related situations and advise on remediation, or control efforts.
