Victim of Theft Tracks Suspects to Fremont Restaurant

Police said the victim was able to track a stolen bank card to a restaurant, where the suspects were still present.

Police in Fremont say the victim of a Friday theft tracked the suspects to a restaurant where they tried to use the victim’s bank card. Officers responded at 12:36 p.m. to the report of the theft from a grocery store in the 3340 block of Mowry Avenue. Police said the victim was able to track a stolen bank card to a restaurant, where the suspects were still present after trying unsuccessfully to use the card.

The victim confronted the suspects, and they fled the area before police arrived, police said. Police described the suspects as a black man wearing a gray hooded sweater and a black and orange scarf and black woman with a silver tooth, a large black purse and wearing a black jacket and green Starbucks apron.

The suspects were last seen on foot on Mowry Avenue.
