Whooo Is Hiding In This Tree? Photos Of The Day
Do you see the great horned owl? Its feathers are the same color as the bark on the tree.
FREMONT, CA — While walking through Quarry Lakes Regional Recreation Area last Friday morning, Gregory J. Brown spotted a great horned owl sleeping in a thicket of trees. He was so captivated that he stood admiring the owl for about 20 minutes, until the owl woke up.
Brown mentioned that more than a dozen people passed as he watched the owl, many as they stared at their phones, but none of them noticed the bird. He commented that he finds it "odd that many people go on these nature hikes without noticing much of nature."
