Woman Fires Gun At Fremont Homeless Encampment
Police say she was mad at her boyfriend.

FREMONT, CA — A woman who was upset at her boyfriend fired a gun into his empty tent Monday afternoon at a homeless encampment in Fremont, according to police.
Officers were dispatched to the area of Washington Boulevard and Roberts Avenue at 3:11 p.m.
They established a perimeter around the camp, located the 35-year-old suspect in her tent and arrested her. Police said she had removed her clothing and doused it in bleach, possibly in an attempt to conceal her
involvement in the shooting.

Officers had a warrant drawn up and searched the area, allegedly finding a handgun and ammunition in the suspect's tent along with drug paraphernalia.
The woman, whose name was not immediately released, was arrested on suspicion of shooting into an inhabited dwelling, being a felon in possession of a firearm and being a felon in possession of ammunition.
