Woman Punched to the Ground in Fremont as She Walked Down the Street
Police say the suspect chased another woman and threatened to kill her.

FREMONT, CA - A man was arrested earlier this week after allegedly attacking two women in Fremont, according to police.

Officers were dispatched to the 1800 clock of Mowry Avenue around 7:15 a.m. Monday on reports of a battery incident.

Upon arrival, police discovered a woman had been walking east on Mowry Avenue when a man approached her and started punching her several times until she fell to the ground.
Police said the suspect then turned his attention to a second woman and allegedly chased her while making threats to kill her.

Officers were able to locate the 20-year-old suspect, a San Leandro resident, near Mowry Avenue and Hastings Street and arrested him on suspicion of battery and making criminal threats. His name was not immediately available.
