• 2 arrested after Fresno police rescue dogs that tested positive for multiple drugs (abc30.com) — Fresno police say they rescued three Chihuahua-mix dogs that tested positive for multiple drugs, leading to the arrests of two people on animal abuse-related charges. The dogs—Brownie, Baby Girl, and Vada—are recovering at the Fresno Animal Center after officers found them in poor condition in central Fresno, and staff are now focused on their long-term care and rehabilitation.
• Guerrilla Girls bring decades of feminist art activism back to Fresno State (fscollegian.com) — Fresno State is hosting a free Guerrilla Girls exhibition at the Phebe Conley Art Gallery from Aug. 24 through Oct. 9, spotlighting feminist art and questions of representation.
