University Prep High School Alum Selected for Television Academy Foundation Internship in Hollywood

University Prep High School alumna Savannah Gasca has been selected for the prestigious Television Academy Foundation Internship program. She is one of 40 students chosen by Television Academy members from across the country for the 2026 Summer Internship program. The Foundation offers paid internships at top Hollywood studios and production companies annually to college students nationwide.

Gasca is a 2026 graduate of California State University, Long Beach, who majored in cinematic arts. She is interning this summer in the unscripted series development department at Hyphenate Media Group, a film and television production company co-founded by actress, producer and director Eva Longoria and television producer, writer, media executive and Television Academy Chair Cris Abrego. Gasca was selected for the Foundation's Getting Real: Unscripted Internship, which offers opportunities in unscripted/reality television production for undergraduate and graduate college students dedicated to amplifying underrepresented voices and increasing diversity and inclusion within the industry.

“[Television personality and host] Mister Rogers is such a big inspiration for me wanting to seek a career in television,” said Gasca. “He saw the impact TV could make and its potential effects as an educational tool, and it’s a mindset I strive to lead with in my work. I want to work in unscripted TV that brings audiences into new environments and/or challenges their ways of thinking. [My goal is] to work in documentaries that lead with a message and mindset I feel proud to support. I want to spread messages of love and human connection through stories of real people.”

Originally from Farmersville, California, Gasca attended University Prep High School in Visalia, California.
