2 Gilroy Robbery Suspects Arrested
The suspects allegedly robbed three locations early Wednesday morning within the span of less than 90 minutes.
GILROY, CA — Two suspects were arrested in connection with an early Wednesday morning Gilroy robbery spree, police said on their Facebook page.
Ernesto Vasquez, 21, and 19-year-old Adrianna Valenzuela were arrested on suspicion of robbery after allegedly hitting three locations within the span of less than 90 minutes, police said.
Police said the suspects are behind a 1:34 a.m. convenience store robbery in the 8400 block of Church Street, a 2:43 a.m. robbery at a convenience store in the 600 block of First Street, and a gas station heist in the 300 block of Leavesley Road.

A suspect in each incident said he had weapons and explosives, but no weapons were used in the robberies according to police.
They got away with an unspecified amount of cash, lottery tickets and cigars before police pulled over the suspect’s vehicle near Murray Avenue and Leavesley Road shortly after the third incident in what police said was a “high-risk stop.”

Both Vasquez and Valenzuela were charged with multiple counts of robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. Both booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.
