14th Coronavirus Case In Santa Clara Co.: 3 New Patients Reported

Three new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed in Santa Clara County, bringing the county's total to 14, officials said.

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — Three new cases of COVID-19, the disease caused by the coronavirus, have been confirmed in Santa Clara County, officials announced Wednesday. The cases bring the county's total to 14.

The patients are two adult men who are close contacts of an existing patient who are in isolation at home, as well as another adult man who is currently hospitalized. His exposure is "under investigation," the county said.

New COVID-19 cases have been announced every day in Santa Clara County for nearly a week. It has emerged as one of the epicenters for the virus in the U.S., with other outbreaks occurring in Los Angeles and around the Bay Area.
