5 VTA Bus Lines Rerouted As Police Investigate Fatal Accident

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – The routes of five bus lines in San Jose are being rerouted this morning while police investigate a collision that killed a pedestrian.
Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority lines 66, 68, 70, 73 and 304 are affected, VTA officials said.
The area is expected to clear up at around 8 a.m., police said.

The incident was reported just before 3 a.m. at Monterey Road and Capitol Expressway.
A taxi traveling south on Monterey Road hit a pedestrian in the roadway. She was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
