Gavilan Students Head to Stanford For Summer Pre-medical Program

students Christopher Ramirez and CJ Dawson are members of the Medical Leaders, Doctors of Tomorrow club at Gavilan College.

They are both military veterans who are planning to become doctors, and are beginning their undergraduate paths to medical school.  

Both students have been accepted to the Stanford Summer Health Careers Opportunity Program, a competitive internship at the Stanford University School of Medicine.

They will live on campus for the six-week program, where they will be immersed in a rigorous pre-medical curriculum.
