Bay Area Autism Speaks Walk on Saturday, April 23, 2016

Join thousands of Walks for the Autism Speaks event at History Park - Kelley Park in San Jose, CA from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Join the Bay Area Speaks Walk on April 23, 2016 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the history area of Kelley Park – San Jose, CA. Approximately 3,000 walkers including individuals with autism, their families and friends will join together for this fun-filled day to walk a few short laps around History Park.

The event provides a fun and safe place for individuals of all ages. Children can enjoy playing in jump houses, get their faces painted or have their photo taken in the photo booth. Parents can speak to over 40-50 resource vendors to learn more about available services and product to help their kids.

This year’s event will include individuals who are making significant transitions in their lives. Parents and individuals will have an opportunity to visit the ‘Transition Corner,’ which will be staffed by young adults who have made a transition from teenagers to micro-business entrepreneurs, college students, interns and more.

The event raises awareness of autism and funding for research and family services.
