Hey Gilroy, in case you haven’t made it outside in a few days, it’s fall in December and leaves are falling all over town! Recology provides an easy way to dispose of leaves with weekly pick-up of yard waste. Simply place the leaves in your yard waste container and place the container at the curb the night before your regular garbage pick-up day. Additionally, you can put out up to 7 additional garbage cans or cardboard boxes full of leaves with your yard waste container at no additional charge. Please make sure to mark the cans or boxes with “YARD WASTE.” Plastic bags will not be picked up. Please note that due to the resources available to the City during the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to deploy City crews to pick up leaves unless it is a safety matter.
