City And IAFF, Local 2805, Gilroy Firefighters Association Reach Tentative Labor Agreement

The City and IAFF, Local 2805, Gilroy Firefighters Association have reached a tentative agreement for a two year successor Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) covering wages, hours and working conditions. The tentative agreement includes concessions made by the Association to assist with balancing the City budget due to the loss of general fund revenue during the COVID-19 pandemic. This Agreement will allow the City to move forward with staffing the 4th fire station with a Rescue Unit. The MOU will be considered for approval by the Gilroy City Council on Monday, September 14, 2020. The draft updated MOU, in both redline and final format, is attached below for reference.
