Driver Of Red Dodge Neon Involved In Hit-and-Run Sought By Salinas PD

MONTEREY COUNTY, CA – Police are looking for a driver wanted in a hit-and-run collision in Salinas last month that left a woman with serious injuries.
On Nov. 17, a 57-year-old woman was in a crosswalk making her away across West Alisal Street at Capitol Street where a car hit her, police said.
The driver of the suspect vehicle, a red Dodge Neon, was on southbound Capitol Street and made a left turn, then struck the woman and left the scene without checking on her, police said.

"The suspect did not even check on the victim, but immediately fled the scene," police said. "Nearby surveillance video shows the car driving by."
Police have released photos of the vehicle seen on security footage in the area and a similar-looking car.
