Earthquake Rattles South Bay: Did You Feel It?
An earthquake hit early Tuesday morning, near where a swarm of quakes struck in November.
GILROY, CA β A 3.4-magnitude earthquake struck just east of Gilroy at 6:48 a.m. Tuesday, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake was centered just south of Coyote Lake-Harvey Bear Ranch County Park and had a depth of 6.8 kilometers.
People around Gilroy and the South Bay reported feeling light shaking, though rattling was felt as far north as the East Bay and as far south as Pebble Beach, according to the U.S. Geological Survey, according to USGS's "Did You Feel It?" survey.
In November, a swarm of quakes also struck near Gilroy, the largest of which was a 4.3.
