The Dr. TJ Owens Gilroy Early College Academy Parent Club (GECA PTSA) will be holding their 4th Annual Walk-a-Thon Fundraiser to help raise money for our school. We hope to raise $8,000 this year so that we can continue providing events and services for our students and staff such as school dances, new technology for the classrooms, picnic tables, field trips, and our 2nd Graduation Ceremony, among other things.
Our students will be asking their families, friends, and the community for flat-rate pledges. Then on the 21st, they will take to the Gavilan College Track to walk, run, skip and dance around the track with their classmates.
At our Halloween Dance on the 28th, we will be announcing winners . All students who bring in a minimum of $50 will be entered into drawings for a variety of gift cards. In addition, the grade level that brings in the most money (over the minimum of $2,000) will win a party especially for them.
