Occupy Gilroy Protest

Occupy Gilroy is set to hit town Friday afternoon from 4 to 7 p.m. at in Gilroy.

Gilroy's protest won't be a physical occupation of the park, instead the park will simply serve as a platform to discuss any concerns that directly impact the future of the Gilroy community.

Gilroy's movement will focus on four main points:

  1. There should be a constitutional amendment that disallows a corporation to be defined as a person.
  2. There should be taxation reform so that all income brackets are taxed fairly.
  3. There should be affordable college education so that we ensure the future of our children.
  4. Banks should be more regulated with laws such as The Glass-Steagall Act.
