Comedy with a country flavor will be next at Pintello Comedy Theater in Gilroy.Β Faith CountyΒ promises the summer fun of a down-home county fair.
Directed by Whitney Pintello and written by Mark Landon Smith, the scene is the Faith County Fairgrounds, in the middle of southern obscurity, where beehive hairdos are still the rage, everybody knows everybody else's business, and Saturday nights are reserved for the tractor pull over in Pickler.
Produced by Rod and Marion Pintello, the comedy play is being presented in the Gilroy Grange Hall at 8191 Swanston Lane in Gilroy. The popular comedy troupe, now in their ninth year in Gilroy, continues to present full-length comedy plays featuring local actors, comfortable table seating, coffee and cookies, and their trademark friendly welcome.

InΒ Faith CountyΒ there are plenty of interesting small-town characters, including the sweet and proper reverend's wife, the flirty grocery cashier, the romantic owner of the Bee-Luv-Lee beauty parlor, a surprisingly talented Bubba, the smitten town mechanic, a local pig farmer, the eccentric and inebriated First Lady, and a bossy busybody who thinks she's running the whole show.
The energetic cast ofΒ Faith CountyΒ is made up, as always, of very talented local actors. Returning to Pintello Comedy Theater stage are actors Barbara Bottini, Charley Gilmore, Jennifer and Rob Langford, and PCT sister and brother, Whitney and Simon Pintello. New to the PCT stage are three busy local actresses, Robin Harris, Rachel Perry, and Sarah Smith.
