Fire Burning Near Mt. Madonna County Park

A two-alarm fire is burning at two structures near Mount Madonna County Park in Santa Clara County this afternoon, fire officials said.

The fire was reported at about 12:30 p.m. on Whitehurst Road off Hecker Pass Road, Cal Fire fire prevention specialist Pam Temmermand said.

Two structures are heavily damaged in the fire, which had not been extinguished as of 2 p.m., Temmermand said. Gilroy firefighters are also at the scene to battle the blaze, Gilroy Fire Division Chief Mary Gutierrez said.

Temmermand said no injuries have been reported in the fire.
