First Street Traffic Delays In Gilroy

ALERT: Traffic Delays on First Street Due to Construction Due to Caltrans work associated with the repaving of First Street, traffic signals have been placed on flashing indicating a 4-way stop resulting in heavy traffic in the areas of First Street and Church & Monterey Streets. Lights will be on flash during the construction hours of 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday. This work is anticipated to be completed by this Friday, June 5, 2020. Where possible, please take alternate routes and plan extra time in your schedule.

Following the dig-out paving, crews are anticipated to begin work on the electrical pole and traffic signal system in continuing preparation for the full-paving of the street.
