Choose between love letters, poems or music, a chance to bottle your own wine, a women's play at Gavilan, wine and comedy, or a Sunday jam session—or do it all!

1. LOVE IS IN THE AIR

Where/When: Limelight Actors Theater, 7341 Monterey St., Friday and Saturday, doors open at 6:30 p.m., showtime, 8 p.m.

Why Go: Love Songs and Love Letters: An Evening of Romance with the Limelight Cabaret Singers plus a Staged Reading of Love Letters by A.R. Gurney. "Bring your own dinner" theater doors open at 6:30 p.m. Performance begins at 8 p.m.Wine, soda, coffee, tea available for purchase. Bring your own wine corkage fee of $5.

Bottle Your Own Wine

Where/When: Martin Ranch Winery, 6675 Redwood Retreat Rd., Saturday, noon-4 p.m.

Why Go: On Saturday, check out Martin Ranch Winery's Bottle Your Own Wine event. This is a hands-on event between noon-4 p.m. where you will bottle your wine. Bring your friends to help! The winery will provide the bottle, cork, capsule and label. This is a unique opportunity to learn more about wine making from the experts.

3.V-DAY AT GAVILAN:  COLLEGE JOINS GLOBAL EFFORT TO STOP VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN AND GIRLS 

Where/When: , Gavilan College Theater, 5055 Santa Teresa Blvd., Saturday, 8 p.m.

Why Go: V-Day Gavilan College 2011 presents a benefit production of Eve Ensler’s, The Vagina Monologues, directed by Julie James. All proceeds benefit Emmaus House in Hollister and Community Solutions. This play is recommended for audiences 18 and over.

Pricing: Adults, $15; students and seniors, $10.

4. CANDELIGHT COMEDY

Where/When: Fortino Winery, 4525 Hecker Pass Hwy, Saturday, 7 p.m.

Why Go: If you're looking for some laughs. The winery will host Candlelight Comedy, a romantic and funny evening for all! Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the show will begin at 8 p.m. There will be a no-host bar at the event. 

Pricing: $20 for wine club members; $25 for non-members

5.  SUNDAY JAM SESSION JOHN WORLEY AND FRIENDS

Where/When: D'Vine Jazz and Wine, 775 Cochrane Rd., Sunday, 1:30-4:3o p.m.

Why go: Join in at the D'Vine Jazz and Wine Sunday Jam Session hosted by John Worley. He will be joined by Ken Okada on bass, Scott Sorkin on guitar and Wally Schnalle on drums. Bring your voice, instrument or yourself to enjoy some of the Bay Area's best jazz musicians.

Pricing:  No cover charge, but there's a drink minimum for those who wish to attend.
